I think it's very strange and rather annoying that the first 2 weeks worth of my blog aren't included in the archive links to the left of this page...I can get to those first 2 weeks manually but they are left out from the links and that is really bugging me... Any ideas? Anyone? *shrugs* Well, I guess no one'd be reading stuff from Jan. 6 or Jan. 13 anyway...
Is one of those more grammatically correct than the other? I've been wondering about that... The way I see it, it depends where you want the emphasis -- but doesn't the first one sound nicer anyway? Is it more correct? *shrugs* Eh, yeah, these are the deep issues I ponder in my head during the limited spare time that I have... Oh well. :)
Oh, one more thing -- just wanted to record here that last Sunday was the day I woke up to hearing Darren Hayes' first solo single, Insatiable, on the radio for the first time (I'd already heard it as an mp3, but waking up to the song is even better). Hopefully tomorrow morning on the Top 40 countdown I'll be lucky and hear it again. I wouldn't mind waking up to it again, either, but if it comes on later than it did last time then it'll mean it's moving up the countdown...which would be good. :)
Here's a list of all of the movies I can think of that I want to watch, not in any specific order (the ones marked "U" haven't been released yet) -- Sabz, you could probably think of some more that I've forgotten...help me out here... ;) :
I've still got one supplementary application to fill in (or is that "fill out"?), due March 8, online, so right now I'm trying to think of things to write down for the 3 100-word-paragraph-answer questions; it shouldn't be that challenging but I've had a long day and I'm finding it hard to express myself (at least about that, anyway -- myself. To express things about myself that I think make me good for the program, yada yada yada) and sometimes I wish that the University process was the way it was back in the 'old days' when acceptance to universities was based solely on grades. Then sometimes I do realize that we become more 'well-rounded' this way -- we force ourselves to be well-rounded people in order to have things to write down in this type of application -- but it's a royal pain in the butt. Gaah.
Following SuzyQ's (who never reads my blog) example, I've started my very own list of the books that I want to read (eventually). I figured I should write them all down so that when I have time to read them I don't forget what I wanted to read...
Anyway, here's the current list:
- Great Expectations, Charles Dickens
- Bridget Jones's Diary, Helen Fielding
- Spadework, Timothy Findley
- Catch-22, Joseph Heller
- Lives of Girls and Women, Alice Munro
There you go. Now, all I have to do before I get working on this list is finish The Handmaid's Tale for English class...
Today I had no homework to do, for a change -- actually I didn't have very much to do yesterday, either, because I made sure I finished everything on the weekend. So today I actually got to watch Buffy on a Tuesday and you know that makes my day complete. ;)
Ohh, crap. Week B, right? That means 3 days of CalcFrenchAccounting instead of in Week A where it's 3 days of EnglishFinite....Oh well.
I've got another spare right now, and currently procrastinating rather than doing French homework that I wouldn't know how to do anyway.
I'm also pretty hungry right now, but I know I've got some Chef Boyardee for lunch and I'm happy about that. :)
Watched Angel on Monday, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (considering it was written and directed by Joss Whedon) ... but... I don't know.
Buffy was on last night and I didn't watch it yet but my mom says it was good. Yay! She called it a "vintage Buffy episode" -- "vintage"? I don't know when she became such an expert, but I guess I've rubbed off on her or something. :)
